Digital hygiene...

In this pandemic we learned a lot about hygiene and why it is important to us, same goes for the cyber world, digital hygiene. Digital Hygiene, in simple word is same as physical hygiene, we try to protect ourselves from getting harmed. But what are the benefits of digital hygiene? For starters, it will help you to keep safe on the web and getting rid of junk in your machine. So, here are some tips to follow digital hygiene:

Strong Passwords and Password manager:

A weak password can become a victim of a brute-force attack. That’s why many websites suggest you to use a combination of upper case and lower-case alphabets, numbers and specials characters. With just these steps even if your password has 8 characters the attacker has to guess 6,634,204,312,890,625 combinations!

You just created a strong password! Great, now it time to store these passwords. By using password managing application you are making it easier to maintain secure, unique passwords. When we reuse a same password for different websites, it can get vulnerable if one account is compromised.

2 Factor Authentication:

One of basic thing you can recommend to people, because many of don’t bother to look into it or don’t want to waste time. Over the years, many websites have provided this service so that the accounts of the users cannot be compromised. This is often a text message to your cell phone, but can come in other forms, like an email verification, facial recognition, fingerprint, or the use of a token-based authentication app. It is also important to note that password can be anywhere, but the factors like fingerprint are generally not reproducible by anyone other than you.

Safe browsers and VPNs:

Safe browsers prevent certain action from happening in the first place, making your internet surfing safer. It helps to stop third-party tools. For example, cookies, cookies collect your information, like websites you visited, usernames, password, etc. Moreover, you can use ad-blockers for your browsers for a smoother experience on internet.

Your internet Service Provider (ISP) can keep a track on the websites you have visited and they can use this information with advertisers, government or any other parties. It can also

Happen that your ISP can become a victim of cyber-attack, then your private data can be compromised. A good VPN will hide your IP address from your ISP and third parties. It will also prevent you from leaving traces in form of browsing history and cookies.

Deleting old apps and accounts:

By deleting old apps, you can create more space on your devices. And doing this on a regular basis it will help in smooth functioning of your devices.

Deleting old accounts is a necessary as one cannot control how other companies handle their data and you will never know when one can get breached. By simply logging into the account you want to delete, wipe all the data, if possible, disconnect them from other accounts, then request the account be deleted.

Noted for being the largest-ever destroyers built by India, the P-15B class features substantial improvements in design, technology and stealth, over the P-15A class.  The Visakhapatnam-class was designed by the Directorate of Naval Design, the Indian Navy’s premier organization for designing warships. The P-15B retains a significant amount of its hull design, propulsion systems, sensors and ordnance from its predecessor, the Kolkata-class (P-15A), to benefit from serial production. However, the P-15B features
